Tian Tian · Home of Dumplings

One parcel, a thousand years

For a food to survive thousands of years and travel from one continent to another, it has to be more than good. The dumpling has passed from generation to generation, kitchen to kitchen, and finally all the way from Northern China to here. We wanted to bring that millennia of family craft to Finnish mouths.

That's why we do everything ourselves. Every dumpling is made in our own kitchen every single day, from fresh ingredients and with our own recipe. Fresh fillings, a thin wrapper and a technique honed over the years. A whole wholesome meal is folded into one thin dough wrapper — and nothing more is needed.

This is how we've been making our delicacies in Helsinki since 2024, and the reception has exceeded expectations. Our dumplings don't discriminate: they suit everyone from babies to grandparents, meat lovers and vegans, everyday and celebration, whatever your background or beliefs. Tian Tian is for everyone, close by, always.

What is a dumpling?

A dumpling covers a whole family of treats folded into a dough wrapper. The dumplings made in our kitchen represent typical Northern Chinese cooking, jiaozi. They're known for their generous size and abundance, in both filling and wrapper. Here, dumplings are eaten until you're full.

Each one contains either meat and vegetables, or tofu and seitan with different vegetables (vegan). Every filling has its own flavour world designed by jiaozi master Lili Shao. She recommends tasting the dumplings plain first, and only then adding dip to taste.

Welcome to enjoy clean, gentle flavours. Safe, locally made food where every bite is a small journey to Asia.

Dumpling ingredients: napa cabbage, carrot, butternut squash, tofu, coriander, spring onion, ginger and pork
All of this fits inside one dumpling. You can't see it all, but you'll certainly taste it.
